- Suzanne Leonard Added May 29, 2018★ ★ ★ ★ ★My daughter attended the kids classes here from 5-7 yrs old - she loved it! We only moved to a different club after we moved out of the area. Very glad that she started here - it helped her gain a lot of confidence, and I was very proud when she knew exactly what to do one day when being cornered by some bigger kids in the playground at school one day, who were threatening to hit her. She handled it very well, only hitting back after saying 'NO' repeatedly and when she realised they weren't going to let her past to find an adult to help. She told her instructors all about it and I was so pleased that they not only praised her for being brave, but also for defending herself rather than just hitting out. She's learnt some really great protective behaviours, in a respectful and safe environment. And i know she feels safe and confident that she can look after herself. As a parent I'm grateful that she is learning these skills now.
